7 Essential Component Survey Item Analysis

The purpose of this tool is to help teams efficiently and effectively compare various data sources (e.g., PBS Surveys such as the TIC, SAS, SET, or SSS, etc.) to see if the overall responses are

generally positive in that they indicate the Essential Component assessed is in place, or that work towards implementation is ongoing

generally negative in that they indicate the Essential Component assessed is not in place, or that work towards implementation is not ongoing

AND... More Importantly

do the results provide guidance towards "actionable steps" for the team to use for intervention / action planning?

Templates for data based review have been developed for each of the 7 Essential Component (7 EC) areas based on the 7 EC Survey Item Analysis. Schools enter the scores from various PBIS Assessment to give perspectives from multiple sources to provide a unique and thorough analysis of a particular EC. The following set of worksheets were developed using the school Safety Survey (SSS), the Self-Assessment Survey (SAS), the Team Implementation checklist (TIC), Schoolwide Evaluation Tool (SET) and in some cases the the Benchmarks of Quality (BoQ).
