Brief Biography

Gordon Way joined the Kansas City Regional Professional Development Center in July of 2010 as a program coordinator for Positive Behavior Supports. Prior to joining the Kansas City RPDC, Gordon was a principal and assistant principal with the Kansas City, Missouri School District, where he had previously taught physical education for 15 years. In Kansas City, Gordon was a member of teams that collaboratively planned and implemented Response to Intervention and Positive Behavior Supports programs in different schools.

Gordon earned his MS in Building Leadership from the University of Kansas in 2006. He also has an MA in Curriculum and Instruction in Health and Physical Education through the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He is currently working to complete his doctorate in Education Leadership and Policy Studies through the University of Kansas.

Gordon lives in Kansas City, Missouri with his wife, Beatriz, and their two children, Isabella and Thomas.
