
Margie Shean M.A. in Special Education is the Regional Schoolwide PBS Consultant with the Kansas City Regional Professional Development Center.
Margie’s professional credentials include a Master of Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado, Doctoral studies in Educational Leadership from the University of Denver, and Administrative, Principal and Special Education licensures.
Her background in special education as both a childhood therapist in residential treatment, a special education teacher in self contained settings in K-12, and ten years in administration, have given Margie the knowledge of how to create safe and effective learning environments that supports academic and social success of all students. As a principal, she has coached, facilitated, and coordinated the professional development for faculty and staff to support their understanding of the core curriculum, academic/ behavioral interventions, and implementation of data driven decisions leading to increased student achievement. Margie was responsible for sustaining and evaluating the full execution of School Wide Positive Behavior Support in her building leading to systemic changes in discipline and increased academic performance.
A highly motivational educator, Margie is able to utilize her thirty years in the field of education to mentor and support teachers and principals in their quest to raise student achievement in a positive, effective learning environment.
