Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBS) is a proactive approach to put behavioral/social skills strategies in place for all students while also building in support for those at risk for and/or those who receive special education services.

MO SW-PBS Tier 1 Workbook

The MO SW-PBS Tier 1 Workbook is the foundation for all work relating to Tier 1 Schoolwide Implementation. Each team member will get a Workbook during the Preparation Team Summer Training held regionally. The entire Workbook is available online as a s single document, by chapters, and by individual handouts. Additional information and linked resources are also included in the Online Workbook.

Team Training

School Year Team Training 

  A series of 4 days of regional training across a school calendar year. This training series is intended for building level teams, coaches and/or administrators who commit to attending ALL 4 training days.

Summer Team Training

MO SW-PBS Emerging Team Summer Training takes place regionally over 2 days during the summer. The MO SW-PBS Tier 1 Workbook serves as a foundational document for the 2 days of training. Attendees should include a building level coach, an administrator and a representative group from the faculty. Teams will build upon work from the Preparation Phase by reviewing and refining their 1) SW-PBS purpose statement, 2) SW-PBS leadership team process, 3) office discipline referral (ODR) data, 4) SW-PBS expectations matrix, 5) lessons for schoolwide matrix expectations and non-classroom routines, and 6) process for ongoing professional development and communication with ALL staff.  The Summer Training prepares schools to begin implementation with students in the fall.
