Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBS) is a proactive approach to put behavioral/social skills strategies in place for all students while also building in support for those at risk for and/or those who receive special education services.
Preparation Phase Training Materials
The MO SW-PBS Tier 1 Workbook is the foundation for all work relating to Tier 1 Schoolwide Implementation. Each team member will get a Workbook during the Preparation Team Summer Training held regionally. The entire Workbook is available online as a s single document, by chapters, and by individual handouts. Additional information and linked resources are also included in the Online Workbook.
Training Sequence for Preparation Phase:
School Year Team Training
A series of 4 days of regional training across a school calendar year. This training series is intended for building level teams, coaches and/or administrators who commit to attending ALL 4 training days. The additional chapters of the workbook will be presented over the course of the trainings.

Handouts
Summer Team Training -
2 days during the summer, provided regionally. Attendees should include a
building level coach, an administrator and a representative group from
the faculty. At the end of the two-day training, teams will 1) develop a
SW-PBS purpose statement, 2) develop an efficient and effect SW-PBS
leadership team process, 3) review their office discipline referral
form, 4) determine how to teach all staff how to use the office
discipline form in fall, 2011, 5) develop a working DRAFT or ideas for
the SW-PBS expectations matrix and 6) determine how to have ongoing and
regular discussions with staff.
All participants receive a Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support Team
Workbook. The workbook is organized with chapters that include 1)
information, 2) activities to guide decision making, and 3) templates
